Education, Jobs, Taxes. These three core principles have defined Johnson County for generations. And these are the principles that Johnson County voters have repeatedly voted to support. Unfortunately, members of the Kansas House of Representatives have turned away from these foundational values. I'm running for the Kansas' 19th District because we need a representative who consistently listens to the voters of Johnson County and supports our values.

As a homeowner, employee and taxpayer in Johnson County, I believe we must invest in education and continue the Shawnee Mission School District's tradition of excellence. We must invest in economic development programs that attract high-paying jobs. We must effectively manage the state's funds and avoid short-sighted policies that harm hard-working Kansans and the quality of life in our state.

Leawood Fall Festival and OP Parade

These past few weeks we have been spending all of our free time going door to door. We have gotten a wonderful response from all the voters.  With less than 40 days until election, Team Luea is going full speed ahead.

On Friday the 28th, Emily and I attended the Leawood Fall Festival.  We walked around, ate some good food, and talked with voters.  It was a great turn out and I’m glad we could attend.

Saturday was the big Overland Park Fall Festival. The morning started off with a big parade and we had a HUGE turnout with volunteers.

The parade was well attended by families and our volunteers had a fun time handing out candy…and we did not forget about the dogs either :)

Thank you to the Cities of Leawood and Overland Park for hosting wonderful events and allowing us to be a part.

I look forward to representing Leawood, Overland Park, and Prairie Village in the State House this upcoming year. 

City of Leawood 5K

On Monday September 3rd, Team Luea got a strong group of volunteers and runners to participate in the 22nd annual Labor Day 5K at Leawood City Park.  Weather was perfect and the course was flat so a good time was had by all.  This was the first event in our new Vote For Zach Luea orange t-shirts. The response was positive and the DJ even announced the campaign. We even had a few runners let us know they would be donating to the campaign. Thanks to the City of Leawood for putting on a fine event.
